Getting started for Windows

Use the following instructions to mine a block.

Open your wallet, and make sure your wallet is connected with a node.
Your wallet is connected when you see the icon  in the lower corner of your wallet.

The message “Synchronizing with network…” will disappear once you mine your first block.

Close your wallet and create the file mrnice.conf in the folder “%APPDATA%\mrnice\”.

Paste the following text into mrnice.conf and save the file.

rpcuser=rpc_mrnice
rpcpassword=d3dfb35007989de5c8984a7fc
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
rpcport=14277
listen=1
server=1

Download the latest version of cpuminer from here and extract the zip file.

Create a .bat file named mine.bat and paste the following text into mine.bat.

minerd --url=http://127.0.0.1:14277 --userpass=rpc_mrnice:d3dfb35007989de5c8984a7fc

Save the file inside the extracted cpuminer folder.

Open your wallet and execute mine.bat to start mining your first block.


Getting started for macOS

Use the following instructions to mine a block.

Open your wallet, and make sure your wallet is connected with a node.
Your wallet is connected when you see the icon  in the lower corner of your wallet.

The message “Synchronizing with network…” will disappear once you mine your first block.

Close your wallet and create the file mrnice.conf in the folder “$HOME/Library/Application Support/MrNICE/”.

Paste the following text into mrnice.conf and save the file.

rpcuser=rpc_mrnice
rpcpassword=5341b0b42c5b9c8be880ab2ac
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
rpcport=14277
listen=1
server=1

Open your wallet.

Download the latest version of cpuminer for macOS from here and extract the zip file.

Click the Finder icon in your dock.
Click Go.
Click Utilities.
Double-click Terminal.

Go to the directory where you extracted cpuminer.

E.G. cd Downloads

Execute the following command in Terminal to start mining your first block.

./minerd --url=http://127.0.0.1:14277 --userpass=rpc_mrnice:5341b0b42c5b9c8be880ab2ac
